About the VLSCI
The University of Melbourne and the Victorian Government have established the Victorian Life Sciences Computation Initiative (VLSCI).
VLSCI key aims
- to strengthen the outstanding life sciences reputation and capability of Victorian institutions and researchers
- to make significant investment in high performance computing facilities and research support services
VLSCI key targets for 2013
- a supercomputing facility ranking in the top 5 in life sciences world-wide
- over 50 people supporting life sciences research across 5 programs
- over $100m of contibutions to the initiative
