Scholarships available for students enrolling in New Masters Degree in Bioinformatics

The VLSCI is offering AU$5,000.00 scholarships to 5 students enrolling in the new degree of 'Masters of Science, Bioinformatics' * with the University of Melbourne's Faculty of Science. The degree offers an outstanding opportunity for post-graduate study on computational techniques in life sciences research.
The course provides a broad education in Bioinformatics with strong foundations in Computer Science, Biology, and Statistics applying to Life Sciences research. The research project component of the degree is an opportunity to undertake independent research developing and utilizing the tools of bioinformatics, and is a pathway to a PhD or employment in research. Students applying for admission to this degree are not required to contact potential supervisors before making an application for admission.
